I was hesitant to upgrade from Cubase 14 to Cubase 15 because of all of the problems I’ve seen on these boards. Downloaded the trial today and all seems well. Windows 11 Pro up to date, Focusrite Audio up to date, Nektar Impact LX88+ up to date. No problems so far.
I bet for every 3 issue you see on these boards 2 are user errors.
I bet for every complaint here there are a hundred (maybe more) happy Cubase users busy making music.
Yup. Folks with a problem are more likely than those without to post about their experiences on a forum like this.
Also, a lot of the problems that arise with a new release are for new capabilities introduced with the release. While releases can & do break existing capabilities, a lot of complaints are about problems with new stuff.
I agree with the sentiment but I think the user error percentage is far higher than those numbers.
“all of the problems I’ve seen on these boards” happens with every upgrade. I see no increase/decrease with C14 to C15. And I have been upgrading since the 90s.
I do think user error has increased over the years. It seems users want immediacy, and don’t want to investigate or take the time to figure things out. The manual is huge. I wonder if AI is going to reverse this trend?
