I would like to see support for LR mono output

I would like to see support for LR mono output.

For example, plug-in synthesizers and plug-in effects.

ProTools supports it, but Cubase no longer does after the version was upgraded.

The LR mono output has the same configuration as a normal mixer, so the sound comes out in front and is crisp and clear.

If everything is output in LR stereo, the sound is flat.

Also, when outputting to an external mixer or external effector, LR stereo outputs change the sound and are not very useful.

It would be even better if LR mono routing can be enabled per track or bus, similar to how mono buses or sends can be configured.

It is especially useful for mixing instruments like lead synths, basses, and kicks, where precise image control and mono compatibility are crucial.

Also, compatibility with external analog gear will be dramatically improved if individual L and R outputs are routable as mono signals without needing to export and split files manually.

Furthermore, with the implementation of this function, we believe that the software will be able to be used for video-related MA (multi-audio) and mixdown, just like ProTools.

For this reason, please address this issue as soon as possible.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

In the Export Audio Mixdown > Export as, set to Split Channels.

Thank you.
I understand this setting.

However, it’s not the setting I want.

Previously in Cubase, you could choose between L/R mono or L/R stereo.

However, at some point, Cubase became fixed at LR stereo.

In the future, I would like it to be possible to output all outputs in L/R mono, including the Out of plug-in synths and the Out of Mix Bus, like other DAWs such as ProTools.

If this is not done, the sound will change.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

In this case, I think it’s a feature request. Therefore add the optional feature-request tag, please.

I’ve added it. Thank you.
