Tough choice. Can anyone help advice? I have never used 6 core processors. is there a real performance win? thank you.
I have no figures, but I have an i7-5930x overclocked to 4.27 and its a monster
Of course it’ll be a piece of c**p in 6 months though 
There is always a 30 till 40% increase in computing power per core.
If it’s the same for Cubase I can’t tell but for Unix and windows server systems it does this as minimum.
I run a 3930K 6 core machine, which runs fine and isn’t maxed out on CPU yet!
But If I had to choose Ghz over cores, Ghz would win (clock speed is more important then 2 cores more or less).
