Has anyone got a definitive answer regarding the suitability of these two chips to run Cubase 9.5pro via a Motu 424 card. Also - which Mobo Asus X299 tuf Mk2 or X299-A (in order to overclock in the future?)
I recently did a new DAW build using the i7 7820 instead of an i9 in order to save money. I made sure though to get a motherboard that would handle the voltage of any of the new i9 CPUs. I’ll probably jump up to one of those next year.
