Lately and randomly IC Pro freezes Cubase when closing it. I have uninstalled IC Pro but I have had no positive result.
I attach IPS file.

Hi,
The crash is in the IC Pro.
Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
Thanks Martin
Hi,
What exactly do you mean by this, please? Where did you uninstall it? Do you still have the SKI Remote component installed at your system (this is the component on Cubase side, which is actually crashing).
Yes, I tried to uninstall the Cubase component, but as I said, it kept failing. I’m at Mac Sonoma.
Hi,
Could you please have a look, if the SKI Remote component is still available at your system?
Hi Martin, I have reinstalled it, and the error is still there, it doesn’t always hang, but it does. iC pro is something that I use daily and I can’t go without using it. just like Cubase. It’s wasting my time and money because of its mistakes and I can’t stop using it either. When is Steinberg going to care A LITTLE about his users?? Like other users, bugs are reported every day and what is not normal is that we have to wait so long for fixes.

What can you tell me about this, Martin? It’s the biggest mistake I’ve had from Cubase in years.
Hi,
This crash happened in Cubase. Could you please provide more info, when did it happen, what did you do?
It is the error that drives me crazy… this occurs from time to time when deleting unused files from the pool… I do it very often
However, in Cubase 12 this does not happen.
Good luck and please please do post an update if you find fixes,
I am checking for a Cubase UPDATE every day …
Really cannot wait for bug fixes AND improvements.
I have simply lost faith in Steinberg. It’s what I feel. I will continue using Cubase until I get used to using something else (it will take a long time, I’m sure) but Cubase is the DAW that I love, and Steinberg is the ecosystem that I admire but as I said, the solutions never arrive, not even the important ones, you buy the new version and the errors are still there! only Steinberg can change my mind.
Hi,
Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
Every time there has been a crash, I have reported it through Cubase when the error appears. Does Steinberg really review these reports?
That is an interesting question. If so then I guess it is an automated process. You could extract the most relevant lines and collect them in a chart with the related topic. But that is just a wild guess, I have no insight knowledge
Hi,
Yes, it does.
Hi @Martin,
do you know by any chance how they do it? Just curious.
it’s fine…butI refer to the facts…
I’m sorry Martin, I know it’s not your fault either… but I think there are too many people asking for the same thing, and we are also paying for it…
Hi,
They are automatically analyzed and clustered, so all know how many times did the crash happened, how many computers are affected, if it happens only at a specific OS, etc. Then it’s possible to prioritize the fixes.
That’s what I thought. Thanks for the info, Martin, much appreciated!
