Idle speculation based on changed Cubase logo/icon

I just noticed the altered Cubase icon: image
Does this mean the release of Cubase 12 is imminent? I have to say I’m not mad about the flat color, and it also looks too much like the WaveLab one:

What’s going on? Is there also a world shortage of color? Are nice colors less eco-friendly?

Discuss.

I’m just thankful I don’t have more important things to worry about.

Whilst it is not bothering some people it does make it harder to spot the icon. It seems strange to change a branding feature for no appreciable benefit. Were people being triggered by red?

I have a friend whose dogs are triggered by red traffic lights so it is possible LOL

Should have made it blue and yellow.

Mind you, with new livery now for SpectraLayers, WaveLab and Cubase, they do make a pretty line-up:

I’m all for changing the icon colors each release. If I had one Project open in Cubase 11 and another in Cubase 10 there was no way to tell which was which without using “Help>About” both were labeled “Cubase Pro” with no version number. Now I can easily distinguish between Cubase 11 and 12.

Could mean Steinberg has been bought by Fender and is mimicking S1 colors now
