The GUI is a mess, and scrolling jumpiness on Mac is the reason many users stick to Logic.
If Cubase GUI was more like Apple Logic, clean and with mostly used features one click away, better stock content, there will be more Cubase users, and many Logic users would crossgrade to Cubase

I tried to get used to Logic and its workflow about half a dozen times over the years. It just wasn’t for me. I guess the choice of DAW is a rather personal decision depending on a lot of factors. Having said that, I totally respect your personal preference!

Can’t stand Logics UI, too much wasted space. Too bland. Why use circular panners? That’s so annoying and unnecessary.
While there are some details I’d like worked out with Cubendo UI/protocols, there’s absolutely no need for some broad change.
I’m pretty tired of GUI changes in Cubase - people have been complaining and giving their broad-change takes since at least Cubase 5, and as soon as one crowd is placated, another crowd jumps in with complaints saying it needs to be changed back.
Nothing about the UI is stopping Hans Zimmer or Ian Kirkpatrick or Tom Holkenborg or Amon Tobin or any other number of top tier talent from getting work done.

Because Cubase, from what I’ve seen, has some of the if not the best stock plugins.
But your comments are very abstract and non-specific apart from the scrolling issue.
Roughly 70% of Cubase users run it on Windows. I doubt if poaching a few Logic users is high on Steinberg’s list of priorities.
As for stock content - I make my own!
That’s expected seeing that Logic is an Apple product.
The consumer/prosumer market is the biggest market though.

If they were my preferred DAW’s I would be using them.

A lot of artists did also amazing job with 1mb samplers (with a tiny, few digit screens) and 90s Roland romplers. Imagine if at that time people would decide that it’s the pinnacle of music production and we shouldn’t push for better tools with improved UX. You would listen to Zimmer’s soundtracks with JV1080 sounds today.

Ummm… I’ve got an AKAI S1000HD about 2 feet to my left at the moment, so I’m probably not the best person to ask that to.
Certainly, if music technology hadn’t advanced, those amazing artists would still be doing amazing work. Entire genres and styles were born out of gear that is miles limited compared to what is available today in which people try to emulate.
But your premise is sort of a false equivalency. There is nothing “un-advanced” or dated 4 or 5 decades back about Cubendo. In fact there are many aspects of Cubendos UI/UX that were available a decade or two ago that still aren’t available in other DAWs.
No, MacOs is garbage for audio. Low latency is a nightmare I bought a Macbook Pro M5 pro, after a week was sent back to the its box, and looking for a new owner, that prefers cosmetics over performance. Cubase on Windows 11 LTSC, is the way to go. A strip down, no bloatware OS since day one. My previous AMD laptop gets back to commission with honors
All what I want to say is that we still can advance and improve and this includes Cubase.
IMO Cubase Cubendo GUI in the last two versions degraded by removing visual hierarchy. But even besides that, there’s always space for improvements.
Just because we can use tools today doesn’t mean that those tools can’t or shouldn’t be improved.
I was switched to Mac one year ago. But I am still in Cubase. I know Logic but Cubase is really good DAW and design for me is much better than in Logic. Of course Logic have some great stock plugins and Synths. But Cubase as well. One great small thing that I prefer in Logic is send knobs. In Cubase we have sliders… and yeah some of Cubase plugins looks very old and heavy. It’s another minus IMHO.. Logic was redesigned all their plugins and it’s looks good.
How did you do that? On my basic Mac Mini M2, latency around 1ms is no problem (at 96kHz). I work with buffer at 64 on bigger projects (limited only by the small amount of RAM) for “safety” but I could also use buffer 32 - I just don’t trust such small buffers because decades of work on Windows machines.
