Father of TR-808, MIDI and lots of other cool stuff is gone.
Never realized that the TR-808 sound was based on some sort of transistor malfunction. I had a TR-707, although I gave it away. Roland did a lot of cool stuff. May he rest in peace.
RIP Ikutaro, thanks for all the great technology. Started with the MSQ-700, still use a Roland A-50 controller which I purchased in 1988. Still have some other modules too, so cheers to their quality.
