Im a new user, and the export is not working ;-;

im trying to export my song to a mp3 file, but apparently after i export it (which takes like 1 sec, it’s weird already) the file plays like 1sec from the song. I’m so confused cause it does plays but for one second.. could anyone please tell me what i did wrong or what the problem is? it’ll be a real help for me. ;-;

( i’ll leave screenshots!)

how come a song be 4kbs.. it makes no sense…

Where are your locators? The left should be at where you want the export to start and the right where you want it to end. Your locators are nearly next to each other in bar 19.

The export takes place within the left and right locators! You now have a second (approximately) between the locators. It is this fragment that is exported.

Man, if only Cubase came with one of those confounded manual things that told you how all its features worked..

Look at the locators at bar 19. You need to extend those locators to the entire lenght of the song.

Also, why 128 kbps? the quality of 128 kbps is awful. If you definitely need to export an mp3 file there’s no reason to use anything different than 320 kbps.

thanks a lot. to be honest i didn’t know i had to use the locators for the export… i finally exported it now. have a nice holiday and happy new year!

yup.. ;-; i never thought the locators would be used like this.. plus thanks a lot for advising me about the quality! i changed the settings and exported it to a 320kbps file. hope you have a nice day and happy new year!
