The Eichendorff poem is of course most famous for the setting in the Strauss “Vier Letzte Lieder” but for me it actually has a special significance as my setting of this poem was the first thing I ever wrote in Dorico. Wasn’t too happy with it at the time as I was mainly struggling with trying to learn how to use the software (I still struggle at times…) but I’ve grown to like the piece somewhat more, particularly with my new rendering using the SynthV choir soloists.
