I'm hoping that the survey reveals that generative A.I. isn't a priority

I don’t mind A.I. for restoration, such as denoise, etc… that’s great. But I’d much rather generative A.I. is only included in a dedicated Cubase version, and kept well away from Cubase Pro. Maybe ‘Cubase A.I.’ or ‘Cubase For Chancers’… but please if you must poison Cubase Pro, at least make it optional during installation, so people who write their own music can completely reject it.

Agreed.
I have been utilizing chatbot to great success alongside Cubase to do many things such as creating presets, working with Halion, expression maps, troubleshooting, support, etc.

I’m not sure ‘integrating’ these things other than support and troubleshooting would be a great idea.

I let them know, in no uncertain terms, how I felt about AI inclusion in Cubase. Let’s see if enough others feel the same and they listen.

The bottom line for me is that music making has fully split between the music industrial complex and the artisan, crafty music making community that I inhabit.

The former is mass content production, while the latter is all about the love of the process of making things.

Industrial farming is also highly unrelated to gardening.

Steinberg should be to music making what Gardena is for gardening.

Very nicely said

Steinberg still can’t fix scrolling issues on Mac version 8 years later. And they’re trying to attempt AI :man_facepalming:

I was trying to fill out the form when just a little bit of AI thought moving my cursor meant I wanted to open a new tab. The survey got mad about it and warned that I couldn’t fill it out in two tabs. Then I had to start over, having lost all my answers and comments.

I closed the browser instead.

For posterity, I didn’t prioritize AI - at all.
Workflow and bugs got 70+ percent of my un-submitted allocation.
