I'm unable to set up a master/slave with ethernet for VEPro

I could not send my notice with out putting down a category. I do not have Cubase. I didn’t know what else to do.

Hi, I’m new to the forum and I hope you can help. I’m having trouble setting up a master/slave connection so I can use VEPro.

I have two Mac Pro’s circa 2010: 6Core 3.33 Ghz and32GB Ram, and a 12 core, 3.46Ghz and 64 GB Ram.

I’m running Mojave 10.14.06 and my sequencer is Digital Performer 11.03

I think I’ve tried everything, even a crossover cable.

Each machine show up on the other computer, but when I hit connect is says my connection failed. I’m not using an ethernet hub because I do not need to connect to the web.

So there you have it, can anybody help???

Hi
My experience is, that you need a hub. Buy one - fast as it gets - and connect from DP via the VEPro plug-in, that should work. I have been running a studio with a similar set-up for years, never managed to make a direct ethernet connection work. Check out Motunation.com

And of course, go to the source, https://www.vsl.co.at/

I got it to work Using Remote Login and Remote Management!!! Thanks for responding. Do you run DP?
