Hi, I have a Dorico 6.2.30 project that I opened in Cubase 15.0.30 via File. Import.
I expected to find the Keyswitches as MIDI notes directly in the Key Editor, but they’re not there. Do I need to enable something in the preferences?

Hi @Danix78, are you familiar with Expression Maps? They substitute key switches and are a more advanced functionality for switching articulations.
Dorico and Cubase use slightly different kind of EM, but the concepts are very similar. Possibly, you need to create appropriate EMs for Cubase.
Which Playback Template are you using in Dorico?
Can you share an example Dorico project that you would like to import into Cubase?

Yes, I’m familiar with EMs. I’ve been using them for years in both Cubase and Dorico.
The problem is when switching from Dorico to Cubase. Opening the Dorico file directly from File imports the Dorico Project into Cubase (without exporting to MIDI). This procedure doesn’t import the EMs’ Keyswitches into Cubase (as MIDI events at the ends of the instrument’s range).
I didn’t expect that opening a Dorico file in Cubase wouldn’t import the Keyswitches.
However, I solved the problem by exporting to MIDI and importing it into Cubase. This not only imported the Keyswitches but also the CCs used for Dynamics and Expressions. I hope one day you can open a Dorico file in Cubase and expect to find MIDI data (CCs and Keyswitches) + Dorico Project (layout and scores) + VSTi Instrument Tracks linked.
