Ex-Pro Tools user here…
Pro Tools has a very useful feature called ‘Match Tracks.’ It allows you to import audio/midi to existing tracks with a similar name. It’s a great feature if you have a mix template and want to import audio into the template to mix. Your template can be all routed, with sends, busses and so on and you can import into this template easily without having to manually put each audio file on the appropriate channel, assuming all the names match.
Is there a way to duplicate this kind of functionality in Cubase. Essentially I’m looking for the fastest way to get material into a mix session with as much of the process automated as possible.
