import audio file with same file name but different Loction

I did not open the projects but I IMPORTED them.
Ok, was not aware that I just can open nuendo projects.
Well, copied projects to my cubase folder.
Opened first project. Waveforms available. Peakfiles not changed in date and time.
Closed project, deleted peak-files, opened again project, found peak-files created new → OK

Started the same with second project. After deleting peakfiles and reopen the waveforms were shown, but there are no new peakfiles in the ‘Images’ folder.
See appended screen shot 1. An additional wave file with 0 bytes has been added ???
There seems to be an issue wit tracks that have effects on it.

Tried then to open my nuendo project, for which I started my posts. No waveform for the stereo tracks, but for the mono track, in spite of the fact that there are corresponding peak-files. See second and third screen shot.

That’s OK. Cubase works different way than Nuendo here. Once you select an Audio track, this track is in the Record Enable Mode automatically. And there is a Pre-Record time also in Cubase. So once you select the track, Cubase starts to “Record in background” to this track (from the given Input). This stream is stored to the audio file, you found.

This feature is useful when you hit Record button to late.

Ok, you can not reproduce it.
Which OS do you use ?
I’m using Windows 10.
Perhaps a Windows 10 problem ?

I used Mac OS X 10.10 for this test.
