Import General MIDI file - instruments

Hello,

I notice that when importing a MIDI file into Dorico, instead of using the instruments in the file (program changes), it reads everything as ‘flute’ by default. Is there a way of changing this behavior so that it can load the correct instrument based on the program change?

I’m afraid not yet, mducharme, but we hope to improve the choice of instrument during MIDI import soon.

The solution some have suggested here is to create the desired voices for your music and copy the relevant “Flute” part into each one.

Also something like “import in current Flow” would be great.
