Import Midi, irgnoring tempo

Hey, is there a way to import a midi file to a project, so that the midi maintains its original tempo and ignores the project tempo?

E.G. Project tempo: 60bpm 4/4 – Midi tempo: 135bpm 6/8
I want the midi events to maintain their original speed while laying over the project tempo grid.

is there a way to import a midi file to a project, so that the midi maintains its original tempo and ignores the project tempo?

Preferences > MIDI > MIDI File > Import Option > Ignore Master Track Events on Merge. Enable this option. The Tempo Track will be ignored while import to an already existing project.
