import midi without Halion track

Hi,

How can I import a midi track without it automatically creating a midi track and Halion as vst plugin linked to this track?

I usually have my VST instruments ready and just want to import a midi file to use on those channels.

if you go:
file
preferences
then I think the option to disable Halion SE from becoming the default VSTi is in the VST section.
I am sure it is in the preferences folder where you select if you want Halion or no vst when importing midi files

Hi,

Preferences > MIDI > File Import. In the Import Options part down, set MIDI Track as a destination. HALion Sonic SE Instrument Track is the default settings.
