Using SOUND SLICE to convert some PDFs, nothing complicated. I imported it into a template I have, It works well except, when it imports it creates a new flow and places it in an instrument called “track”. It will not play back at all. I’ve uploaded 2 files the original file and one which I added a piano part and copied the track part to the piano player track. It plays fine but show no channel in the mixer window except the reverb channel. Very wired behavior. Also when I view the piano part it shows no measures. WOW

I opened your 1st file and it plays very well with the default piano sound:

In your 2nd file your added piano instrument does not show, because you have not linked the Electric Piano layout to the flow:

When you import an xml it always arrives as new (additional) flow. If you just want one flow you can open the xml file directly.

Dorico will attempt to interpret the instrumentation. Clearly Sound Slice named the instrument “Track”!
