Hi, I compose a lot in Staffpad (love it!) but I have been missing my big DAW libraries in Cubase 12 (mac). So I want to export MusicXML out of Staffpad into Cubase where I can use CSS and Genesis and such.
I just did this and the tracks came in as midi. Which is fine. But then I had to create 28 new instrument tracks, hand-load all the appropriate instruments, copy the midi over, etc. Surely there must be a better way to do this, like somehow mapping the MusicXML “Violin 1” track to the template “Violin 1” track?
In a perfect world I could even have multiple import templates BBCSO, CSS, etc, and then could say “I’m feeling like CSS today”, import the Staffpad MusicXML, and the instruments would all be properly mapped and fx channels would be in place, etc, just like any other template.
Please, please tell me there is a way to do this!
