Import problems with some .wav-files

When attempting to import some .wav files, the message ‘Import Audio: Sorry, this file format is not supported’ appears. The .wav files are 44.1kHz and 24Bit, which has never been a problem before. The files are exported from Cubase 13 and can also be played back normally in an external music player. I have previously used this format with the same properties for all songs and never had a problem. I can still import old files with 44.1kHz and 24Bit, but not these.

We never had difficulties with .wav import so far.

How do you import? Drag and drop, or from File/Import?

If the latter fails, could you send us any (short) .wav file that expose this? Thanks!

I tried both drag&drop and file import, both didn’t work.
I added one of the files that didn’t work.
testSchlagzeug.zip (3,8 MB)

By the way, this .wav was exported through SpectraLayers 11, not Cubase. I tried again exporting something with Cubase and it worked, it seems that only the SpectraLayers files have these problems. But the file doesn’t seem corrupted or anything, it’s just the import to VST Live that doesn’t work.

Thank you!

I download your file without any problems and everything works

… yes, it’s a Mac problem (only).

… thank you for the file and your report. That was very helpful. It has been fixed now. Please re-try with the next Pre-Release coming this Friday. Let us know your experience.

See you,
Michael
