I have experienced the same behavior many times. My workaround for now is importing track settings a few at a time, such as importing the drums and bass, then the guitars etc.

Steinberg, you really need to get this right for Nuendo to be usable in a competitive music/post/gaming/soundesign DAW environment. Please see how “import session data” makes workflows seamless. This is what production houses need before adoption.

Thanks, yeah I get that but doing that for dozens, if not 100+ tracks for a mix would be a massive amount of time. Plus the routing to groups and effects plus the VCAs doesnt come with saving the track settings.

Agreed, it needs to just work. I’m glad I work in music, where we have the same band members during album recordings :wink: Makes it easy to set up templates that work from the beginning.

Yes, this has been my workaround in certain scenarios for a couple decades. However, this doesn’t work for quite a number of productions I work on. The bottom line is the importing of data from one project to another needs to be working much, much better. Thanks
