I would like to report a critical issue in Cubase Pro 15 regarding the feature “Import Tracks from Project”.
When importing tracks from another project, Cubase 15 is not importing any audio events at all.
No clips, no regions, no waveforms — the tracks come in completely empty, even though the original project contains audio events.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a project with audio tracks containing real audio clips.
Save and close the project.
Open a new blank project.
Go to File → Import → Tracks from Project.
Select the tracks that contain audio.
Tracks are imported empty — with no audio events inside.
Expected behavior:
All audio clips should be imported exactly as they are in the source project (same as Cubase 14).
Actual behavior in Cubase 15:
No audio events are imported at all.
The imported tracks are completely empty.
This happens every time regardless of project setup.
I tested the exact same steps in Cubase Pro 14, and the feature works perfectly, so this issue appears to be new in Cubase 15 and seems to be a regression.
This bug is breaking the workflow for transferring edited tracks between projects, especially for users who rely on multi-project workflows.
Please confirm this issue and consider fixing it in the next maintenance update.
What do you see in the Pool for the project you’re importing from? What do you see in the Pool of the new project after you import the tracks? It works fine (for me) on MacOS 15.6.1.
just checking - In CB14 you have to check the “track data to be imported” box, picked an option from the dropdown menu and have the correct range selected in the ‘track data to be imported’ section of the Import Options window. Is this the same in 15?
You never mentioned import position, what you have it set to. I recall I had the timebase of the project I was importing into set such that the imported data was hours and hours away in the timeline, but I thought they were importing as empty tracks until I realized what happened.
