Import Tracks From Template

I have some large fully loaded templates of which I have smaller reduced templates based off of.

Instead of locating a project to load a template from, I’d like to be able to load from the Template database in a direct straight forward manner.

Templates are just regular .cpr files, so Import Tracks From Project should work on them too (I haven’t verified). Cubase stores them down in AppData on a PC, not sure on a Mac.

It does work, it’s what I do and have a couple copied to my desktop in a folder.

I’d like a quicker access integrated UI though with search filter.. and perhaps a favourites list.

You could use Media Bay. Give them star ratings, assign them settings in fields like Moods & Characteristics. Even create your own custom fields to tag stuff.

I’ve done that as well, the problem there is that then I am disturbing my MediaBay location.

Just looking for a faster, less obtrusive solution… Direct Integration… is pretty much the feature request.

I appreciate the help, I do have workarounds in place.

I don’t follow what you mean by this.

If I use MediaBay to find the templates, I leave whatever location I am in in MediaBay

I tried importing from a template today but the routing was wrong. Both the song I was importing to and template had the same audio interface, connections and control room!
