I finished recording and rendered all tracks to audio. Opened a new clean project, and using Import tracks from project, higlighting all tracks required. This imported the tracks but the disk cache remained maxed out and playback continuosly stuttered. Tried again, importing one track at a time, loaded some until the same thing happened. I tried this again but in Cubase 13, and worked perfectly. Please sort this out.
I have the same problem. The disk cache is fully loaded after importing audio files. Playback is disrupted. Didn’t have the problem with Cubase 13.
Is this only with imported audio files or also with recorded ones?
I remember having a similar problem some years ago after an update to a new Cubase version. Turns out I only excluded the old version from Windows Antivirus realtime scanning, after I added the new version everything was back to normal. You can and probably should also just exclude your Cubase project file directory from being scanned.
It happens to me when I import a track from another project. It does not happen when I import an audio file.
My Windows virus protection does not currently protect the Cubase project file folder.
