It would be amazing to have the import tracks feature be able to ignore the timecode on the incoming tracks and simply import the regions to the corresponding measures in the current project.
As it stands currently if I want to import a drum beat or a piano lick from one cue into another, the imported material comes in at it’s original timecode which makes it completely off the grid. To complicate things, if the imported material is before the current project material, it shifts all the current stuff back to make room (sometimes 100’s of measures) and everything ends up off the grid.
Would there not be a way to import tracks musically so that if something was recorded at measure 4, it imports at measure 4 in the new project?
