I went through a few of the threads regarding crashes on 2.1 but didn’t see this particular solution. Sorry if it was discussed already.
Just a heads up: If Dorico is crashing EVERY time you save a file that has imported Music XML data- try exporting the flow(s) and use the exported flow file instead. Worked for me… no more crashes.
I’d be interested to see some of the crash logs generated: can you do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the resulting zip file to a reply to this thread, or email it to me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de with a link to this thread in the email?
Hi Daniel.Did you ever find out why the Sibelius xml files I mailed you crashed Dorico? This seems to be the same problem.
No, it’s rarely if ever the same problem, I’m afraid. There are many ways in which the data in a MusicXML file can be sufficiently duff that it exposes a problem that Dorico can’t readily recover from.
