This should be that easy, and it is…sort of but not. What I find is that you can open the file and it works fine, except that when you modify it and resave it as a new Template it fails. What happens is that the channel paths are correct and the mixer is correct, the plugins are listed correctly, BUT, the plugins do not retain their settings. They have to be rebuilt.
So two questions then, #1: Is this by Steinberg design? and #2: Is there a way to capture the modified Project?
I’m either doing something wrong or this is a built in design fail. Either way, I’m not clever enough to sort this out. Any help would be appreciated.
