Importing Atari Cubase 2 .arr files in Cubase 6.5 PC ?

I converted some old Atari ST disk to PC format so I could read them on my PC with Cubase 6.5.
All Atari files are .ARR files (Cubase 2.0) which cannot be imported in the current Cubase 6.5 version, or am I wrong?

Is there a way to import these files directly or should I save them as .MID files on the Atari (I still have the old Atari ST hardware) and import those?
