Importing file from Media Bay twice

Hello,

I have a question. I have imported a stereo file from the media bay into Nuendo and split up the channels, because I only wanted to use the left channel. Now I need the same file again, but as a stereo file. But whenever I drag it into Nuendo it automatically shows the already existing left channel. That means I don’t seem to have an option to reimport it as a stereo file. How can I change this?

It’s a known bug since 5.0 that has not been addressed.

If you can find the L and R files in the pool, drag them both in to two new mono tracks and convert them back to a stereo file.

I always keep a couple empty tracks around for this purpose.
