I would like to be able to scan an existing paper score and import it into Dorico v5 for further manipulation. As far as I can see this isn’t currently supported. Is this a feature that could be added to your backlog?

Scanning and OCR of music is a very complex operation, and it’s usually handled by third-party software which can save in an exchange format like MusicXML – which you can then import into Dorico or another notation software.

And they still only tested under the very most favourable circumstances: clean, high-resolution photos of cleanly digitally engraved sheet music, or just the exported PDFs directly. In most real-world cases the results will be significantly worse.
