When I copy the patchname XML files from Cubase 8.5 to the same folder (scripts/patchnames) in Cubase 9, they don’t appear to work when I import them using the MID Device Manager. When I select ‘Import Setup’ and select the patchname XML file, they are automatically associated with a ‘MIDI device’ which has a non-existent output. If I create a device prior to importing the file I still get the same issue. OK. that’s a little complicated, but if anyone has any ideas on the secret process for importing XML files from a previous version of Cubase I’d really appreciate it!
