Impossible to register .vstsound files on an Opencore MacOS

I’m running Big Sur on an opencore setup and was trying to install Verve’s .vstsound for HALion. When trying to register the .vstsound I get the following error:

“Steinberg Library Manager privileged helper has wrong version (-1,-1)”

I found this article: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/38547723062674-macOS-Steinberg-Library-Manager-privileged-helper-has-wrong-version-1-1

So the reason is Opencore is using a modified SIP (disabled) and it has to stay that way for the system to be able to run.

It says there’s no workaround for Opencore setups at the moment. This is more of an FYI message to anyone running MacOS on Opencore, but also a wishful post if someone had figured out a workaround after all… (?)

Just found a post on this forum about the same error message, but not related to Opencore. The solution given in that post was to download an older version of Library Manager (v. 3.0.23). I did, and looks like this version works also on an Opencore MacOS! Not sure why that official Steinberg article is saying there’s no workaround for Opencore.
Hope this helps someone else!
