its easy in CB7. It can be done either in the Inspector or the part.
Iv’e dicovered MIDI Manager which recognises all my Roland JV and Korg 05RW, and I can display all their instruments in the Inspector Routing and select accordingly. I still prefer the List Editor as in earlier Cubase editions. I suppose there is no chance of the List Editor being included in a future upgrade of the Cubase Elements series. Making the bank, CC inserts and progam change via the Key editor is difficult as some values for bank and program change valurs are not included. Also, when I write, in order to minmise the number of tracks and not overload the system, I often used the same track with Bank and Program Change CC, and othes like Modulation, Sustain, Reverb etc. inserted at the right place to modify a patch’s performance. Some of Roland’s JV and Korg’s sounds (and varieties) are far better quality than the extensive HSC 7 samples. The only problem is including these MIDI tracks in the audio in the Audio Mixdown.
