Hi, Total newbie here trying to import a midi file from Dorico (using NotePerformer) into Cubase Elements. What EXACTLY is the best or proper procedure for doing this? I probably want to use HSE inside Cubase. Is there a way to intelligently map from the Dorico midi file to some appropriate HSE counterparts?

If it’s a standard MIDI file and the instrument assignments are according to General MIDI (GM), then all you have to do is import the MIDI file and Cubase by default will load HSSE as a multitimbral rack instrument and assign the tracks automatically.

I’m not familiar with Dorico but what that means is, it should “just work”.
