I have noticed that when I’m in gallery view and carry out certain operations (like deleting notes, removing slash bars, or other actions) and use multiple flows, the position often changes randomly, taking me to different flows. I believe this might be a bug.
You’ll need to provide more specific information to allow us to investigate this further. We’re always happy to investigate possible bugs, but we need specific steps to reproduce the problem. If possible, please attach a project and specific steps to follow. With issues around view positioning, it’s also really helpful if you can include screenshots of the score position before it moves somewhere unexpected, and also afterwards. Make sure the screenshots show the whole of the Dorico window, rather than just a portion of it.

Well, Dorico doesn’t behave randomly, so there will be a pattern to the problems you’re experiencing. Perhaps you could try some of the operations that you’ve found tend to produce the problem, and see if you can reproduce it that way.
Well, perhaps it doesn’t behave randomly, but it certainly feels like it does. I’m not paid to be a beta tester, so a bit less condescension would be appreciated. I’ve been a user since version 3.5 and have never experienced such frustration with any software. So, it might be better to avoid making the end user feel foolish, especially when selling a product that, despite being innovative and comprehensive, is riddled with flaws and non-functional elements
I’m not condescending to you, and I’m sorry for coming across that way. It’s true that Dorico doesn’t behave randomly, so there will be a pattern to the problems you’re reporting. Without seeing the problem you’re experiencing, or having the steps necessary to reproduce them, we can’t investigate in order to find out what’s going on and hopefully fix the problem.
Thousands of people are using Dorico every day, and if there were a widespread problem with the score moving apparently randomly in galley view, we would surely know about it. It’s possible that the specific combination of instruments, zoom level, window size, etc. together with the particular edits you’re making are triggering some unwanted behaviour, but without a bit more information from you, there’s not a lot I can suggest.
We don’t expect you to be a paid beta tester, and we stand by the quality of the software that we offer for sale. All complex software has bugs, but we are very responsive to actionable reports of problems from users, and do our best to fix those problems as soon as is practical. But the key word there is actionable – we need a clear problem description and ideally a set of steps to reproduce the problem in order to be able to investigate and fix it.
