Inconsistent padding with certain instrument names

I have a minor issue with inconstant padding on my instrument change labels.

If you compare the first “Cl in Bb” with the second “Bsn” you see that the flat symbol after B (in the clarinet) almost touches the top border and you also get a much bigger padding below the name. On names with no “Bb” or similar I have no such problems.

NB. To avoid collisions with the border I usually have to increase the padding top/bottom to 2,00 pt (se last picture).

  • Is there a way to adjust this in only the clarinet part or some other clever solution/workaround to prevent this from happening?

Trying to change the font of Character Style > Music Text sometimes helps for this kind of issue. Do you have Bravura Text? Does it help if you change it to Sebastian Text, for example?

Sorry! Forgot to mention that the Palatino font is a part of my publishers house style so unfortunately I can’t change that.

Try Bravura Text on the Music Text character style like @charles_piano suggested.
You’ll still have Palatino.

You can change the relative size if needed.

Yes! Changing the Music Text font to Sebastian Text did the trick!

Thanks!
