I’ve been noticing that after a crash, when reopening the session, Nuendo is telling me that there is a backup that is newer than the actual session file. But, this is not always the case; just had a crash and Nuendo prompted me to open the latest backup which is 2 minutes older than the original session file (a big difference in this case). Anyone else experience this?

are you referring to the last deliberately saved *npr before the crash happened when you talk about the session file?
Did you change the name of the project by any chance the last time you saved the project?
Yes, the last deliberately saved .npr file is newer than the backup even though Nuendo is telling me the backup is newer. No, no other changes.
