I’m using Vienna Synchron Player Soft Imperial Piano in Dorico Pro 6. (also with the Bosendorfer)
I’m trying to achieve independent dynamics playback for each hand of the piano. The dynamics have been entered as voice specific dynamics when the caret is active.
With independent voice playback active there are two instances of the Synchron Player, one for each staff. Both staves are set to use note velocity as dynamics by setting the Expression map for each as Default.
Even with the two Synchron instances set to receive different midi channels, the dynamics of the one hand or the other seem to be ignored. Which one works, if any, seems completely random.
I have tried a variety of expression map options for each hand including Default, Velocity + CC 11 Dynamic, Velocity + CC 2 Dynamic, CC 11 by itself, and so on. The result is not always the same, but it is never as intended through the short piece.
I have tried other vst plugins too. In every case dynamics for one hand or both are not reflected in the playback, even trying extremes like p possibile, and f possibile as experiments.
What am I doing wrong?
