Hi folks, first time posting here. New to Dorico from Finale.
I’ve worked out how to do independent repeats and have started to notate an idea below. The gap between bars is from a hidden coda. Here is how it looks in Galley view:
When I switch to Engrave mode, it looks pretty close to how I want it to, but some of the repeats disappear before and after the coda. Where did they go? 
Also, is there any way to remove the barline at the end of the first bar on the top staff?
If the question is why I’m doing all this, below is an example from one of my scores drawn up in Finale. There’s a reason why the bars tend to be separated in space rather than connected which I’m happy to explain if wanted.
I’d really like to learn how to make scores that look like this in Dorico, or at least close to it (Finale had its own challenges). Thanks for your help towards getting there!
