Hello. Is there in Dorico a way (or workaround) to produce the independent tempo markings asked for, here in Rautavaara’s Cantus arcticus?
Sure, by using staff text for all tempi but the real one. Presumably the others are related depending on the way their bars diverge, and that would be handled by hidden tuplets.
Thank you for this. My incompetence, which extends over the horizon, then begs the answer to two more questions (probably more later):
Is there a way to place barlines independently on the different staves, for the different tempi, like in the score?
And can someone guide me to how to calculate what tuplet division I have to use?
Edit to add a third question: is there a way to place barlines on some staves, and remove them from others (or the other way round: deleting the barline from some staves and keeping them in others)?
One can enter different time signatures on individual staves by pressing the ALT/OPT key when confirming the time signature.
As to calculating (hidden) tuplets to get barlines or distinct tempi to line up (where one wants that sort of thing), that is different for each situation. I’d have a calculator nearby.
