Since installing H5, the start up time for C8 has really slowed down, it takes 15 seconds for C8 to reach the “initialising content” stage of the launch cycle and then it just hangs there for about 1 min 20 seconds or even longer there’s no disk drive activity during that time.
It’s a bit frustrating waiting as H5 seems to have introduced a random instability, what has been a fairly robust system now seems to prone to crash when using H5 in a project
Is there any way to “batch re save” steinberg content as in Kontakt in order to speed up the launch? It’s a bit frustrating waiting, especially as it means a few relaunches after unexpected crashes.
