could you pls provide a link to that thread? thx
Sorry I’m on holiday abroad no pc, there was no thread, simply I checked and when an audio track output is linked to a stack , in the stack the input meter does not work.
Cheers, Ciro.
cannot reproduce (3.0.42). New project, import audio, create Stack, input from track, play, meters show. Let me know how you do it, thanks.
@musicullum talking about that meters:
yes, me too
did you try my repro?
Yes I tried new project, add stack, add audio track, import audio file, link track output to stack. Play… no input meter on stack.
Oh, I think this could be a big misunderstanding. Ciro, you expect the faders (!!!) to have an underlying VU meter, am I right? The green arrows in your screenshot suggest something like that. But they (the faders …) are not supposed to behave like that.
Yes, input faders have an underlying meter when input is a physical one, should have a meter also when input is a track (as the main stack meter is post inserts/returns).
these are useful as I use rec and monitor on a track to play live and record , and only meter I can use to see and avoid clipping is the input meter pre inserts, and they don’t work with track => monitor enabled => stack
I moved this discussion to a new topic to give it the attention it deserves. ![]()
Where have you been with these magic tricks before @Kai_Schwirzke ? ![]()
