Inputting complex triplets in multiple voices

I am a new user, coming from Finale. I am enjoying the process of learning Dorico. I began by inputting a piano piece from 1970, and I have only encountered one insoluble problem.
In m. 35, left hand, I want to input a tuplet in two voices, in the last (16th-note) beat of the measure. In both cases the tuplet consists of three 32ds in the time of two. In the upper voice, I want
a 32d rest and a 16th A-flat; in the lower voice, I want a 32d rest followed by two 32ds. The upper-voice A-flat is tied into the next measure. I am enclosing my Dorico file, together with
a scan of the relevant page of the original handwritten score.

I cannot get Dorico to recognize the 32d rest with which the tuplet of the lower (stem-down) voice should begin, and I cannot tie the A-flat in the upper voice into the following measure.

Any help you can give will be deeply appreciated.

By putting the 1/32-note Ab and G in downstem voice 1 and the 1/16-note Ab in upstem voice 1 I’m able to get the result I believe you want:

Brilliant - many thanks! It never occurred to me that I could do two voices within a single voice, so to speak. Much appreciated!

Still struggling to reproduce what you did so beautifully. How do I navigate between downstem voice 1 and upstem voice 1? Are they separate voices, or part of the same voice - but behaving like separate voices?

V and shift + V are the key commands. I think these are helpful:

I’m heading out for the (U.S.) evening, but if this doesn’t help I know someone else will come along.

I got it! Cries of jubilant exultation. I had not learned to distinguish between upstem and downstem voices by observing the stem direction on the little red icon as I cycle through them. - the video was very helpful. Hearty thanks -and enjoy your evening!

You can also turn on voice colors in the View menu - sometimes this is really helpful.
