Inputting notes above the previously input note

According to the Dorico manual, “To input a note above the previously input note, press Shift-Alt as well as the letter for the note.”
This works just fine, except for “B” (I’m on Mac). When I try to do this with a “B”, nothing happens.

Can anyone confirm this is happening to them as well? It’s possible I have some global key command which overrides this, but I’ve searched around and found nothing.

There is a problem with the letter B, that has to do with the QT framework that Dorico and other programs use. Here’s an old thread on the subject - you can probably find others if you search for qt.
