Inputting one's playing

Hello !

Dorico Pro

Instead of manually inputting the notes, I am playing the notes into Dorico but whatever note duration I am playing Dorico registers everything as quarter note and of course it is because quarter note is selected in the left menu. How can I disable pre-note selection so that Dorico ‘records’ exactly what I am playing ? (like in Cubase/Nuendo)

I think you would use MIDI record instead of step input.
