Inserting a bar deletes all horizontal adjustments

I am in the process of proofreading a percussion score that contains a large number of manual adjustments regarding bar lengths and the horizontal placement of mostly text cues.
Unfortunately I have to insert a missing bar (single bar repeat in one instrument, rest in the other), which completely mashes up the layout for the rest of the piece. It looks like all manual changes regarding horizontal positioning are lost, the little squares are blue again.
Is there any way to avoid this?

Thanks for your help!

How are you inserting the bar? I find that subsequent note spacing adjustments survive when I either:

  • use the system track to add a bar, or
  • set the insert mode to either Player or Global (2nd or 3rd icon)

When I insert with the mode set to Voice or Global Adjustment of Current Bar (1st or 4th icon), that clobbers any following spacing adjustments.

I had not tried out the different insert modes.

3rd option (global) works fine as long as I insert the bar in input mode. Shift/b “1” as well as using the system track bar still led to the former results.

You have saved me a lot of time, thank you very much!
