Inserting a PART before an existing PART

As I build more sophistication into my songs I realise I sometimes need to go back and say turn a first verse into 2 parts, rather than just 1 so in the part I can include a layer I now need.

If I try this however the software tells me I cannot do this. I assume there is a technical reason why, but how are people making these kinds of changes? Recreating the whole song again from scratch with the new PART?

Try this:-

  • Add your new Part which should now appear as the last Part in the list.
  • Drag it up to where you want it.
  • Move the song position to where you want the part to start.
  • Click on the Time indicator for the Part in the left hand side (next to the Part name) which should set its start time to the current position.
