What do you mean by Master Bus? Do you mean the Master Section? Where are you inserting the plugins?
Yes, master bus section

In Wavelab it’s called the Master Section.
Some plug-ins may not be compatible with the Master Section. Try activating the ‘Out’ column for the plug-ins in Preferences>Plug-ins>Organize. This will give you a channel format choice when you attempt to activate the plug-in but there’s still no guarantee it will work. Some plugins just aren’t compatible and AFAIK in these cases the issue is with the plug-in and not Wavelab.
I dont think this is the case, as one plug in works fine on one of two DAW workstations (ADPTR Metric A/B) that are set up with the latest versions of the plugs and Wavelab 12 pro. It might be the case with the one that errors on both workstations. The plugin developer has never had a report of this either
Well in that case I’m not at all sure what you were (or what you are) attempting to report here. In your first post you state ‘I get 2 different plugins that when loaded, give me insertion point error. Spectre & ADPTR Metric AB’. And now you are saying that the behaviour depends upon which computer you are using. TBH this makes it well nigh impossible to offer accurate advice.
I’ll come back when I see more clarity. In the meantime, I’ll leave it to others to reply. Good luck.
Hi,
Just in case this may help someone else, my issue was corrected by using the VST 2, not VST3 of the aforementioned plugins mentioned.
Generally, this is the opposite. However, the VST3 standard, which is thought to be better, is also more complex to implement. So, sometimes, plugin developers make mistakes.
