I set genos in device manager, so i can choose preset programchanges in inspector, what works fine. BUT Genos only reacts when i change the programchange in the inspector. Can anybody tell me when cubase sends the programchange and volume settings? I assumed when hitting start from song, these settings were send to external devices, but since noting happens on my external device (genos), am i wrong??? For the volume i made a work arround, by making ramp of volume, in measure before starting track. It looks if only changes of PC and other CC settings are send to external device. Please can someone give me advice, Leon
Hi and welcome to the forum,
I’m not sure, I understand your description well. But… Tak a look to the MIDI Part and search for these in the Controller Lane:
- Program Change
- Controller 0 Bank Select MSB
- Controller 32 Bank Select LSB
- Controller 7 Volume
You can set these in the track, which overwrites the Inspector data, once these messages are sent out.
Hi Martin.
I know that you can do this with controller lane, but then i have to figure out from each sound what MSB LSB an PC are. In the inspector i can use the xml script from genos.
I figured just out that while loading a song all parameters that are set in inspector are send out to my genos. I would be nice that you could force this sending all inspector parameters, without reloading song again.
k regards leon
I assume the midi data from the inspector gets send upon creation of the track and if you ever manually change any parameter. I don’t think the data gets send just upon starting playback.
Hi,
Isn’t the data sent also if you start playback the project from the very beginning? And if you don’t change it from the MIDI Track or the instrument itself, it should remain.
Hi,
data is only send with loading project or when changing parameters ( PC or CC) in the inspector.
It would be nice to have function that you could send all inspector controls after song is loaded. Perhaps in the future… It costs me a lot of time to figure out. Thanx for your suggestions.
